Casio G-Shock DW-5600

The Casio G-Shock DW-5600 is the original square G-Shock — the watch that defined toughness in the 1980s and never stopped being cool. First released in 1987 as the successor to the original DW-5000C, the rectangular DW-5600 became the prototypical "square G" that every subsequent generation imitated. Worn by skaters, soldiers, fishermen, and street kids, it became as much a fashion statement as a tool watch.

Multiple revisions exist — the DW-5600C (1987), DW-5600E, DW-5600BB (blackout), and various collaborations. All are tracked together. The Dutch market is full of these as they were a popular "first real watch" gift for kids in the 80s and 90s. Working examples trade between €30 and €120, with rare editions and pristine vintage units commanding higher prices.
