Commodore Datasette (Cassette Drive)

The Commodore Datasette (C2N) is the dedicated cassette tape drive for Commodore 8-bit computers, primarily the C64 and VIC-20. Released in 1977, it was the most affordable storage option for home computer users throughout the 1980s. While floppy drives were faster, the Datasette remained popular due to its low cost. Working units with original packaging are increasingly collectible.
