Happy Hardcore 4

Happy Hardcore 4 is part of the compilation series that captured the euphoric side of mid-90s rave culture. While Thunderdome went harder, Happy Hardcore went higher — pitched-up vocals, 170+ BPM beats, and relentless piano riffs that defined clubs and warehouse parties across the Netherlands and the UK from roughly 1995-1998.

The Happy Hardcore compilations are rarer than their Thunderdome counterparts because they sold fewer copies and had a shorter cultural window. Volume 4 sits in the middle of the series, which means it's neither the debut (most nostalgic) nor the last (most scarce). Complete copies with booklet and intact jewel case are the collector's target.

CD condition is the primary concern — these were party CDs that lived in cars and DJ bags. Check for scratches that cause skipping. Verify the booklet is present and the jewel case isn't cracked. The track listing on the back should be legible — sun-faded copies are common. Original pressings hold more value than any later compilations that reused the name.
