Alfred J. Kwak (DVD)
About this item
Alfred J. Kwak on DVD preserves one of the most ambitious children's shows ever made. The Dutch-Japanese co-production (1989) tackled apartheid, fascism, and environmentalism through the eyes of a duckling — themes that flew over kids' heads but make the show a cult classic for adults rewatching it today.
Complete DVD box sets are the collector's target. The Dutch Just Entertainment releases are the most common in our market, but German and French editions also circulate. Sealed box sets are rare — most were opened and watched. Individual season discs appear frequently but are worth significantly less than the complete set.
Check that all discs are present and scratch-free. The cardboard packaging on older releases deteriorates easily — look for intact spines and clean cover art. Some cheaper listings are individual volumes marketed as "sets," so verify the episode count before buying.
Moderate activity averaging 4 listing changes per day.
