Anno 1602 was a phenomenon in the German-speaking market — Sunflowers sold it by the truckload across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and it is the reason the series still exists. Outside DACH almost nobody played it, which is exactly why the secondhand supply is concentrated where it is.

That abundance keeps prices low: a complete big box with both manuals typically trades under €25, and the Königs-Edition and later re-boxings sit in the same range.
