About this item
Galerians (1999) is a psychological horror game for the PlayStation in which the protagonist fights not with weapons but with psychic powers, drip-fed by injectable drugs that damage him as he uses them. It is bleaker and stranger than its Resident Evil-era peers, and it has kept a cult following because of it.
Crave and ASCII gave it a modest European release, and it never had the reprints or Platinum re-issues that keep the better-known PS1 horror titles cheap. Complete PAL copies with the manual sit well above loose discs, and the spread is wide — the same game trades from twenty-something euro for a bare disc to several hundred for a sealed copy.
When buying, confirm the listing is a complete PAL copy rather than a disc alone or a printed cover reproduction; both circulate and are easy to mistake for the real thing in a thumbnail. US NTSC copies are common in search results and will not run on an unmodified European console. Check the jewel case for cracked hinges and that the manual is the original print rather than a scan.
