Rattler (Cobra) — G.I. Joe Action Force Jet (1984)

The Rattler is Cobra's 1984 ground-attack jet from the G.I. Joe line — Action Force in Europe — a stubby, aggressive A-10 Warthog analogue with detachable wings, a removable nose section and a full missile load. It shipped with the Wild Weasel pilot.

It is one of the most sought-after Cobra vehicles of the vintage era, and one where condition swings the price enormously. The wings, nose cone and canopy detach by design, which is exactly why they go missing; parts listings for individual bombs, wheels and nose cones circulate far more often than the aircraft itself.

When buying, confirm the wings and nose cone are present and original, and check the wing-mount tabs for cracks — they carry the weight and are a known failure point. The Wild Weasel pilot is frequently absent. Be aware that modern Classified Series and HasLab Rattlers share the name and sell in a completely different price bracket; this index tracks the 1984 original.
