Skystriker XP-14F — G.I. Joe Action Force Jet (1983)

The Skystriker XP-14F is a 1983 Hasbro jet from the G.I. Joe line — sold in Europe as part of Palitoy's Action Force range — and modelled closely on the F-14 Tomcat, complete with swing wings, a working canopy and a bomb-drop mechanism.

It is one of the largest and most recognisable vehicles of the era, and one of the least likely to survive complete. It shipped with the Ace pilot figure, a full missile complement and an extensive sticker sheet, all of which separate from the jet over four decades. Loose Skystrikers are common; complete boxed ones are not.

When buying, check the swing-wing mechanism and the nose landing gear, both frequent break points, and confirm whether the Ace pilot is included — he is sold separately as often as not. Applied stickers yellow and lift; an unapplied sheet adds a real premium. Missile pods and canopies are commonly replaced with reproductions, so ask whether parts are original.
