About this item

Sneak Peek is the G.I. Joe advanced recon specialist, first released in 1987. The European Tiger Force repaint from 1990 dresses this surveillance expert in tiger-stripe camouflage instead of his original olive drab, complete with his trademark periscope and communications gear. He's the eyes and ears of Tiger Force.

Tiger Force Sneak Peek is one of the harder European exclusives to track down. The original figure was already a single-year release in the US, and the Tiger Force version had an even smaller production window. Collectors hunting European G.I. Joe exclusives consider Sneak Peek a must-have — he rounds out the Tiger Force roster with a unique specialty that no other figure in the sub-line covers.

When evaluating a Sneak Peek, the periscope accessory is the critical piece — it's small, easily lost, and defines the character. Check that the binocular sculpt on his chest isn't worn down, and inspect the tiger-stripe paint on his legs for rubbing. The O-ring should still provide decent hip and waist tension. Boxed or carded European examples with intact blister are the top-tier find for any Tiger Force collector.
