About this item
The Grundig Satellit is the world-band receiver line Grundig built in Fürth from the mid-1960s into the 1990s — the 205 through the 700, plus the Professional variants that turned up wherever shortwave mattered. Before the internet this was how you heard a broadcast from another continent, and the big multi-band dial and telescopic whip are why they now sit on shelves as objects as much as radios.
Supply is deep and the spread is wide: most working sets run €20–200 with the median near €200, while the late Professional models and boxed Final Editions reach €950. Watch what you are buying — the parts trade is busy, so cheap listings are often a dial lamp, a knob set, an antenna or an empty case rather than a radio, and Grundig also made satellite TV receivers whose German name collides with this one. Check the telescopic antenna is complete and the dial cord still drives the pointer. Priced daily across Vinted, Marktplaats, eBay, 2dehands and Kleinanzeigen.
