LEGO 6080 King's Castle — Castle Set

LEGO 6080 King's Castle is the original big LEGO castle from 1984 — the set that launched the Castle theme into one of LEGO's most beloved lines. For kids growing up in the mid-80s, this was the ultimate birthday or Sinterklaas gift. The sheer size of it made it a centerpiece in any LEGO collection.

The set features a large hinged castle with a working drawbridge, a horse-drawn cart, knights, and a full complement of minifigures. It's one of the earliest sets with the yellow-faced castle minifigures that became iconic throughout the 80s and 90s.

When buying, check for the grey baseplate, all horse figures, the drawbridge mechanism, and the flags. Loose sets without instructions are common — a complete boxed set commands a serious premium. The yellow shields and horse barding are often missing and hard to source individually.
