What a Nightmare Before Christmas tape is worth turns on the sleeve and the seal. A loose PAL cassette is a low-tens item; the cardboard cartonata slipcase editions, sealed German OVP copies and the November 1995 Italian first pressing trade at a multiple of that. Region is the other divider — NTSC American tapes are a separate market and do not set the PAL price.
Tim Burton produced and Henry Selick directed the 1993 stop-motion feature, animated frame by frame over roughly three years. Disney released it under the Touchstone label rather than its own, judging it too dark for the Disney banner — which is why early European tapes carry Touchstone spines.
