Thunderdome Poster

1990–2014

About this item

Thunderdome posters are among the most visually striking pieces of Dutch gabber memorabilia. From the first edition in 1992 at the RAI Amsterdam through two decades of sold-out events, each Thunderdome edition featured bold, dark artwork — often depicting skulls, demons, and apocalyptic themes — that became iconic in the hardcore techno scene.

Original event posters are increasingly rare. Most were displayed at record shops, youth centres, and concert venues across the Netherlands and Belgium, and few survived in good condition. Collectors distinguish between official ID&T promotional posters and unofficial reprints that surfaced later. Condition, size, and edition determine value — early editions (I through V) command the highest prices.

For fans of 90s rave culture, a Thunderdome poster is a statement piece that captures the raw energy of the gabber movement at its peak.
