About this item

Thunderdome XI - The Killing Playground dropped in 1996, right as gabber was entering its second wave. The sound was shifting — production techniques were maturing, tempos were pushing further, and a new generation of producers was making its mark alongside the established names. This double CD captures that transitional moment, bridging the raw intensity of the early editions with the more polished aggression that would define the late-90s hardcore scene.

For collectors, Thunderdome XI sits at an interesting crossroads. The 1996 editions were produced in large quantities, but finding copies in excellent condition decades later is another matter entirely. The "Killing Playground" theme and its dark cover art make it one of the more visually striking entries in the series, which adds to its display appeal.

Condition is everything with these mid-series releases. Inspect both discs for scratches, particularly near the center where players tend to leave marks. The booklet should be complete and free of water damage. Original pressings are identifiable by the ID&T catalog numbering — compare against Discogs listings if you are unsure about authenticity.
