3 Ninjas — Vintage VHS Tape

3 Ninjas (1992) is the kids martial arts movie that every 90s child watched on repeat. Three brothers trained by their Japanese grandfather take on a gang of kidnappers — pure early-90s family action with a Home Alone flavour. It spawned three sequels, but the original is the one collectors want.

On VHS, 3 Ninjas is a pure nostalgia play. It was widely distributed as a rental and sell-through title, so finding a copy isn't hard — but finding one in good condition is. Most copies saw heavy use in kids' VCRs.

When buying, check for the original Touchstone/Buena Vista release. Tape condition matters — rewind artifacts and tracking issues are common. Sealed copies are rare since this was a kids' movie that got opened and played immediately. The clamshell case version is the most nostalgic format.
