Don's Telephone Line Rider Backpack is a 1991 Playmates accessory from the vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line (Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles in Europe). A wind-up trash-can rig runs along 24 inches of communication cable, letting Donatello ride the phone lines high above the street.
It sits at the affordable end of vintage TMNT collecting — a fraction of a Party Wagon or Technodrome — but complete examples are scarcer than the price suggests. The cable and the wind-up unit were the first things to get lost, so plenty of what survives is the backpack shell alone.
When buying, check that the wind-up mechanism still winds and releases, and that the full length of cable is present rather than a cut-down replacement. The harness clips are a common break point. Note that the Donatello figure was sold separately — a listing pairing the two is a bundle, not a complete boxed example. For boxed copies, look for the card insert and the instruction sheet.
