The Turtle Blimp is a 1988 Playmates vehicle from the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line (Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles in Europe) — a soft vinyl airship with a cardboard gondola, modelled on the blimp the Turtles fly in the cartoon.
It is the hardest of the early TMNT vehicles to find intact. The balloon is unsupported vinyl, so decades of storage leave it creased, split at the seams or perished entirely, and the printed graphics rub away. Loose parts far outnumber complete examples: cannons, tail fins, gliders and torpedoes circulate constantly while the blimp itself is scarce.
When buying, inflate it before judging condition — a folded blimp hides splits along the seams and around the gondola mounts. Check the cardboard gondola is present and not water-damaged, since it is almost always missing. A complete example includes the cannon, tail fins and detachable glider; sellers listing only those parts are selling accessories, not the vehicle.
