The JVC TM series is the cult-favourite alternative to Sony PVM monitors among retro gaming enthusiasts. Released by JVC throughout the 1990s and early 2000s as professional broadcast monitors, the TM series spans the small TM-90PSN (9") and TM-150PSN (15") to the high-end TM-H150CG (15"), TM-H1750CG (17"), and TM-1750PN (17"). All feature high-resolution Trinitron-rivalling tubes, multiple RGB inputs, and professional broadcast specifications.
JVC stopped CRT production years ago, making the TM series increasingly hard to find. Prices have climbed steadily as the retro gaming community discovered them as the second-best CRT option after Sony BVMs and PVMs. Working units trade between €175 and €600 for smaller models, while the larger TM-H1750CG and TM-1750PN can reach €850 and beyond.
